ROOMS
It is a delight to sit in the shade of the Parador’s terraces, taking in the smell and sight of colorful flowers, as well as enjoying the view of the open landscapes surrounding the estate. There are eight opulent guest rooms, all decorated with works of art and exceptional antique furniture. A stay at the Parador - Museum Santa Maria is a treat for all senses.

Our eight deluxe rooms are:

  • THE CHIAPANECAN ROOM: Chiapas has great artisan traditions, and this room invites you to delight in furniture and textiles that on a daily basis were part of Chiapanecan life. The room has two double beds and a bathroom with shower.

  • THE FRENCH ROOM: In the XIX century, during what is referred to as the Porfiriato Period, the wealthy landowners of Chiapas imported French furniture, being part of the craze for French furniture all over the country, The French room is a beautiful example of the finesse and the good taste of the time. It features a double bed, a bathroom with bathtub and a working fireplace.

  • THE PLATERESQUE ROOM: This beautiful chamber pays tribute to the pair of beds from the famous Ordaz Collection, obtained when the City of Mexico auctioned off important furniture in the 1940s. The beds are in the style of Spanish Plateresque, and the rest of the room’s decor harmonizes perfectly with the stone fireplace, granting an atmosphere of great comfort. The room has two individual beds, a bathroom with bathtub and a working fireplace.

  • THE ART NOUVEAU ROOM: The brass bed, the lamps in pastel colors, the European paintings, the antique radio, everything is coming together in this cozy room. The room has a double bed and a bathroom with shower.

  • THE SPANISH ROOM: The furniture in this room bears testimony to the strong influence of the Spanish neo-Renaissance style that was so fashionable in Mexico. Here, one finds beautiful pictures on the walls and an evocative balcony facing the magical and beautiful landscape, a truly romantic setting. The room has a double bed and a bathroom with bathtub.

  • THE COMITECAN ROOM: This room pays tribute to the quality of the cabinet makers of the region of Comitán de Domínguez. The wood of the furniture is from the area and all decorative items of the room represent the simplicity of the Comitecan province. The room has two single beds and a bathroom with bathtub.

  • THE EMPIRE ROOM: A wonderful bed welcomes guests in this room; the furniture evokes the use of brass and copper that was in style in the period referred to as Decimonónicas. The room has a double bed and a bathroom with shower.

  • THE ALFONSINA ROOM: The wood of this room is from the mother country, Spain, and reflects Iberian elegance. Beautiful furniture, a balcony and a feeling of belonging is what the Alfonsina Room is about. The room has two single beds and a bathroom with shower.
